Review: Breach

Chris Cooper outacts himself.

Chris Cooper’s performance carries this movie out of the depths of film mediocrity. Don’t expect many thrills, because you’ll be terribly disappointed. Ryan Phillippe and Caroline Dhavernas are pretty well cast, but there are too many characters that amount to nothing. The film also features a distracting “cameo” by John Ashcroft that takes you out of the moment, and since it’s at the beginning of the movie, you’re not able to keep an open mind about what’s going to happen because Ashcroft spoils the movie for you in the very first f*cking scene. –Josh
