Writer/Director Mike Binder should stick to acting and leave the creating to his director friends. “Reign Over Me” only works when actors Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler are working off each other and creating an endearing chemistry. When Sandler is away from Cheadle, however, his scenes turn into a cliche-ridden, melo-dramatic soap opera that would’ve been better handled by an actor that has more than one mode. So, check this movie out if you want to see what Adam Sandler looks like when he cries, and if you want to see the first official Worst Performance of 2007 given by actress Saffron Burrows as a sex-crazed divorcee going after Cheadle’s goods. -Josh
