There are several sites around the internet devoted to this very question.
The popular choices seem to include “Homer’s Phobia,” “Marge vs. the Monorail,” and “Cape Feare.” Chime in and reminisce about a time when The Simpsons were culturally relevant.
IMO the greatest clip in history featuring the three elements that made The Simpsons great at one point in time: Dead-pan satire, a memorable Ralph Wiggum line, and Phil Hartman as Troy McLure.

Bonus question:
What is the greatest Simpsons video game?
My vote has to go for Bart’s Nightmare for Sega. Though, Simpsons Road Rage and the Simpsons arcade game are notable (even though the arcade game is a total rip of the TMNT arcade game).
BEST. CLIP. EVER.

The only thing that comes close is the initial Chicken vs. Peter cut-scene in Family Guy.
Agrees with Bill.
i don’t know its a tough call, there where allot of great clips back in the day when Cohen was a writer.
In Josh’s defense … that is the one that Matt Groening chose as well … so Josh gets street cred for picking one not on his list!
“Bart the Daredevil” is no doubt a classic.
I have SUCH a jones to go play Barts Nightmare after watching that video. I bought that “Simpsons Hit & Run” game–who remembers that one? It was like Simpsons meets GTA, it was pretty lame, but fun for the first hour or two when I got it.
